Steady Leadership for a Stronger Michigan
I’m Kristen Fauson, President of the Forest Hills Board of Education and candidate for Michigan House, District 80.
Why I'm Running
I’ve spent my career working where policy meets real people: from strengthening democratic institutions overseas to standing up for students and families here in West Michigan. I believe how we govern matters just as much as what we believe. That means protecting our schools, defending democratic norms, and making sure every child and every community has safe neighborhoods, affordable essentials, and strong public services they can rely on.
I’m running to bring steady, practical leadership to Lansing, leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers.
About Kristen
Kristen’s career has always been about strengthening communities: from helping Ukraine dismantle nuclear weapons systems to defending public schools right here at home. She brings people together when politics threaten to divide us, and she is running for the Michigan House to bring that same experience and commitment to Lansing.
Kristen will focus on practical solutions that strengthen schools, support families, and grow the local economy in Cascade, Kentwood, and East Grand Rapids.
